We are thrilled to announce the inclusion of yet another talented artist to our Cloud9 Collective, just in time for Spring Quilt Market. Sarah York is a Surface Pattern Designer and Artist from California, soon to be based in the beautiful Pacific Northwest. Sarah has a background in Art History and trained as an apprentice in classical textile design hand painting techniques. She is inspired by the bounty of nature, ornament, color, travel, textiles, and folk patterns. Sarah likes to work in a painterly, hand-done style, finding beauty in the imperfect and unique.
She works from her home studio with her darling assistant, her two year old daughter Violet. Her designs have been used by companies such as Tesco, Hallmark and Greetabl.
Sarah loves creating beautiful designs to bring a bit of happiness to someone’s life. She is beyond thrilled to be designing for Cloud9 Fabrics! A total dream come true.
