Koi | East West Quilt

East West Quilt

We have another free project to share. This one, East West, by Melanie Shortman Tuazon features Koi and is suggestive of the way the blocks alternate directions but also because of the eastern inspiration of the fabric blended with the western quilting technique. Melanie’s own family blends Asian and American traditions so it has deep meaning for her.

Fans of Rashida Coleman-Hale may feel additionally eager by this additional Koi substrate due in December. But it’s really not too far from now… at least you’ll have time to plan your projects. In the Kitchen with Tsuru | Bordered Dishtowels + Tutorial

As promised, and unfortunately the last in our In the Kitchen with Tsuru series, we have Patchwork Bordered Dishtowels. This is a great project for using scraps of fabric. The use of 100% linen here is an exceptionally nice option because of its absorbent and lint-free qualities.
