Job Title: Project Coordinator

Cloud9 Fabrics is the leading organic cotton wholesale supplier for the home sewing market. We design fabrics with a fashion forward vision with a focus on a variety of looks and substrates. As such, each collection is unique and requires a creative vision for its specific uses and applications. We are endeavoring to build our resources so that we can consistently offer our customers – independent fabric and quilt shops – an assortment of project ideas to both inspire and educate. 

This is a tightly collaborative position, working with both our creative and sales teams. The main objective of this position is to select wholesale available projects for each collection that will inspire our customers and increase interest and sales of each range. We will value your input and opinions as well as your creativity. flexibility, enthusiasm, thoroughness and punctuality. You will work to compile and maintain a roster of sewing project designers and businesses. You will outline how these wholesale partnerships work, gather and maintain clear information streaming in both directions. Your participation will be required from concept to print-ready art delivered to our design team’s hands.

  • develop and foster relationships in order to build a roster of quilt, apparel, home dec, pattern designers/businesses who will work with us on a wholesale basis
  • maintain comprehensive list of these vendors, wholesale terms and compensation details
  • circulate our future collections artwork and gather projects for consideration
  • furnish our graphics team with print-ready vector project images along with accurate fabric requirements for sales and marketing materials
  • be a true liaison between pattern vendors and our teams
Ideal candidate:
  • have experience in quilting, apparel, home dec and accessory sewing
  • understand the needs of quilt/fabric shop owners in terms of projects that will inspire their customers
  • working knowledge of either quilting software and/or vector based programs like Illustrator
  • clear communication skills
  • flexible schedule and ability to participate in virtual team meetings regularly
  • has industry connections and/or ability to build solid relationships
  • an eye for the types of projects that suit our fabrics
  • offer input and/or recommendations for the types of prints that may help round out a collection
  • a decisive manner and ability to choose ideal projects deliberately in order to be respectful of people’s time and efforts
  • great communication both in email and face time scenarios
  • self-starter and -motivated
  • follow up and the determination to chase when needed

This will be a part-time (approximately 10 hours per week) remote position.  Compensation to commensurate with experience.
